Golden hopes for NT mines

Two new gold mines could be operational in the Tanami Desert of the Northern Territory as soon as 2013.
ABM Resources and Tanami Gold have both found high grade deposits at their respective key exploration sites.
Tanami Gold spokesman Graeme Fraser says while there are plans to revamp the Central Tanami mine, they're also currently in talks with ABM to use its Coyote Mine across the Western Australia border for processing.
"With the gold price up around 1500 to 1800 range in recent times, once again we'll see three mines in the region; Newmont's Callie, our Coyote mine and our Central Tanami mine working."
