Pretty much. You only have to look at the two biggest gold miners in the world (Newmont and Barrick) to realise this apathy. I actually think Australian Gold miners (EVN included) have done much better compared to North American gold miners whose earnings are mostly denominated in USD. Yes even Canadian ones for the most part.
Then again if ones average is $3 AUD on EVN you really need to lift your gold miner game in some way or form. A little bit over a year ago (16 months) you could have bought EVN for sub-$2. $1.80 by employing a little TA skill. But I digress, much easier to blame someone else. If you guys need torches and pitchforks head on to Bunnings. I'm a Wesfarmers shareholder.
