EVN is captive to the US ETFs. The average investor has taken the easy way out of investing in gold miners - just buy or sell the ETFs GDX and GDXJ. No understanding of mining required! At these prices all gold miners should be making decent profits and either distributing dividends or expanding their operations with targeted M & A opportunities. They are doing very little - managements are timid and even with record high gold prices they seem to be paralysed. The speculative trader who used to drive the POG and the miners now follows the AI crowd.
