they are just ignorant that directional drilling is required to keep the drill bit straight when the drill bit is close to a geographic dip, which is predicted for the boundary between the clanmeyer layer and virgin hills, dips tilt the drill bit in a sideward direction. However i wont be surprised if arq change the direction of the drilling so that when that boundary is struck the impact will be even, remember the layers are in orderly fashion but are dipping.
