I have been an investor / trader in FMG shares over many years.
I would like other contributor opinions on whether the sale of EG's 113,994 shares on 8 Sept (vested 6 Sept) to fund income tax liabilities is standard practice.
I thought that the tax liability triggered by vesting of shares is payable after the end of the financial year - more than 9 months away.
If you believed FMG's SP would be lower when the tax is due then you would sell asap.
Just wondering if this is a warning sign on future SP trend and would appreciate feedback from those more experienced than me.
