My old man works up in QLD and in the down-flow operations e.g. Painting steel they are not offering redundancies but cutting own the hours to a 38 hour standard week.
For those reliant on the overtime there is none so a lot of the fulltimers like my old man are looking for unskilled work in the mines etc.
Soon you will see a BSL with little or no union involvement.
