"..Longer term, Virgin's attempts to morph into a full-service airline that caters to the business market and takes on Qantas head-to-head are not so silly.
As long as Virgin can keep a lid on the costs within its control (and fuel is not one) a full-service airline brings with it pricing power and a better ability to weather economic cycles.
When the economy is stretched, it is the budget leisure traveller market that dries up - not the business market.."
It's obviously been a tough couple of months, while this isn't a one-for-one contradiction the change in sentiment is breathtaking.
