One big problem is this India operation is being run from Perth to accommodate the Australian employees (visits to the field are few and far between) - and it should have a proper operations office in Gujarat with some senior people there - I do not think the Indian business can be run efficiently with remote decision making by people of moderate abilities who work a 5 day week, thousands of miles away.
The chairman should have put more focus on operations control in India and less on a nice life in Perth for him and his buddies.
