Do you believe that spin or are you just hoping others will?
People leave jobs all the time, but it's not common in senior positions when their employer is on the verge of amazing things and they've done nothing wrong. Either it's rats jumping ship (very common to see directors bail one by one when things get bad), or he has done wrong by the company and they all figure it's best for everyone to send him on his way with a nice facade rather than ugly publicity for all concerned, or he has had some very exceptional personal reason, either a better job offer (which would seem unlikely if you were as bullish about AEB as tretch) or some problem or other commitment. Yes, all are possible and I'm not saying I know it's one of the first two possibilities, but the third is the least likely in this scenario.
If we see no more directors jumping ship we might be willing to think he might have left for harmless personal reasons, or reasons unrelated to AEB. If that's the case, and it might be, I wish him all the best and hope his personal issue is not too serious.
