Its not spin and I don't care if people believe what I see as being some valid possibilities for director departures or not. And I am not mislead or miopic enough to think that what I or anyone else says on HC has any influence on anything.

His reasons for departure need not be dire even if they were personal. If I was middle aged and had left my full time job at a Uni I might be very inclined to nick off and have some fun elsewhere rather than hang around to fulfill a very part time role as a director. But we are speculating about things to which we cannot know the answer but the answer need not be shrouded in black clouds.. I agree if the either of the two major founding directors were to leave it would be of real concern. But a minor director departure is of no consequence IMO.
