Walbrook, in the southern ocean the water is getting undeniably warmer, the increase in ice is due to complex phenomena which includes cyclonic winds. I think you will find that the example I gave very much applies to the arctic. Deniers love to cherry pick this data and laugh as scientists get stuck in the sea ice, while Antarctica's land ice is being lost at an accelerating rate and the oceans around Antarctica continue to warm.
