This topic deserves its own thread.

IMO there is a case for changing Australia Day to a new date.

The current day Jan 26 is the day the British first fleet arrived and raised the British flag whilst overwhelming the native inhabitants.
What exactly does that have to do with 95% of us. It not only excludes the indigenous population but celebrates the British.

Caesar had a good idea on the other thread, call it Empire Day.

But what would the alternative be? Ideas?

And part 2, do you currently regard Anzac Day as a more meaningful and patriotic holiday. I certainly do
