Australia is not really multi-cultural. This is just a trendy buzzword to make migrants feel welcome. And they are. But for the important issues we embrace a unified set of values. Otherwise there would be chaos.

Australia is dominant Anglo-Saxon culture and values and this is the foundation that makes Australia great. Rule-of-law, property rights, economic opportunity, rights for women and minorities - are all flowing on from Anglo-Saxon values and work ethic. To deny this is dishonest. And it was colonialism that brought that here.

This has made Australia an attractive place to live and coveted by migrants. The Anglo-Saxons have generously allowed the other groups to settle here and carry on their traditions under the protection of the dominant culture.

I don't know what it is that makes the Anglo-Saxons so special. Likely thousands of years of good breeding has increased their average IQ. They seem to Excel in so many areas - whether its developing technology, military, law and justice - they seem to be consistent world leaders.

Leave Australia day where it is. No-one recalls exactly what happened on that day. Not even Horsa. Its simply Australia day for all Australians.
