UPDATE on gas supply.
Was going to switch from Alinta to AGL.
So far, so good.
Alinta rang me, offered the equivalent deal, but back dated
2 months, my last meter read. Not a lot, but few dollars for me.
Now a slight quandary, as why didn't they do the 35% off
in the first place?
O.K. Decide to go with Alinta, but have to tell AGL deal is off.
Talking to AGL, counter offer of 40% off for first 12 months,
35% for next 12 months, or 37% off for two years.
Still stayed with Alinta, as the difference between 35% & 40% is negligible.
Could probably go back and forwards between the two of them,
to the point where they'll PAY ME to use their gas !
For interests sake, my gas bill is around $143 max. (for usage),
so 5% for 1 qtr. is only $7, max, only $5 qtr. on lower bills.
With the $50 credit a saving of $386 over 2 years,
probably double, or more, for larger households?
