Hi Beavis, the initial Inferred Resource for Halleys was in December 2009 - 299,000t @ 6.7g/t for 64,000oz
By my understanding they moved to Indicated with the "Mining Proposal submitted" announcement in November last year with 172,000t at 7.5g/t for 42,000oz. I will definitely agree with you that it wasn't communicated very well.
As for Africa - to be honest, they've given Barlee a good flogging - I think that its time to move onto something else. Whether its repositioning in Africa, or anywhere else (as long as it doesn't have a 'stan' at the end), if it is something that will create value - go for it. At the end of the day we're currently sitting at a market cap of $11 odd million. Can Barlee drive it to 30 or 50million? (which is what we want at least) - I would be very surprised. So basically Beacon needs to 're-invent' itself - plenty of other companies have managed to do this by heading overseas. Whether Darryl can 'find' the right deal to reposition Beacon - well this is what we've gotta hope for.
