As much as I despise Abbott and the views of his supporters on this forum, in this case he was verballed by the commercial press. It simply was not fair. I watched the actual clip, and he was responding to a description by a senior officer about an operation that had apparently gone wrong. And things do, it is now called "shit happens" Nothing to do with disrespect for the fallen soldier.
