I haven’t followed the IIL story too closely but looking back through their announcements I can’t see a regular update of the phase 2A trial participants progress similar to the way LCT have provided. In each phase 2A update LCT has given it appears that this treatment continues to work years after the initial implant (although there were some questions raised in the most recent update).

This, along with the increased dosage and the increased sample size of the phase 2B trial certainly gives hope that we will see a positive outcome. Although as we’ve seen with IIL and several other Aussie biotech’s recently when the element of bias is removed during a double blinded trial the efficacy results are often very different compared to an open label trial.
