6 Key (even shocking?) points to be aware of:
1/ CATL know, or are about to know, all about Li-S:
Li-S Energy Appoints Bob Galyen and Isobel Sheldon OBE to advisory panel
Australian battery technology company Li-S Energy (ASX:LIS) is pleased to announce the
appointment of highly-regarded battery industry experts and executives Bob Galyen and
Isobel Sheldon OBE to its global advisory panel.
Mr Galyen is a professional director and strategic advisor who has almost 50 years’
experience working for some of the world’s leading battery manufacturers and technology
companies.
Before he retired from executive roles, he was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of
Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Limited (CATL), the largest lithium-ion battery
manufacturer in the world. He has also held senior executive roles with Magna International,
Tawas Inc. and Delphi.
2/ CATL already supply TESLA's RWD batteries for USA made cars and are about to jointly build a new battery plant in Texas so that they can gain the $7500 EV battery tax credit.
3/ A massive extincition event is underway, traditional auto companies. VW, Ford, GM, Volvo, Polestar, Stelantis, the whole Jap car industry etc etc all lose money..... really big money... ($35k per vehicle in Fords case alone) on producing EV's. The crisis is about to snuff them out as there is a loomiing lithium supply shortage that will drive prices back up so high it will be financial suicide for them to make an EV.... they are years behind BYD & Tesla who are vertically integrated......the others are all just assemblers who will be broke before they can catch up which will cost billions at a time when they are the most indebted companies in the world, debt based on the valuation of car plants that are increasingly valueless. There is absolutely no evidence that these Co's are "Catching up and will soon surpass" Tesla or BYD in EV's, they simply cant any more than Nokia or Blackbderry did when smartphones emerged in 2009.
4/ CATL only manufacture batteries and need Li-S like tech to remain the largest in the world, and they can get it into manufacture at lightening speed
5/ Whoever has an Li-s licence to manufacture also gets the ability to participate in the aviation and drone industry, a massive untapped market.
6/ The greenhouse gas alarm bells are now ringing so loudly now that people can experience it for themselves, there will be no reprieve in electrifying the world through green energy & it's storage with ever increasing urgency. Sodium iron - LFP-Mn and Li-S based batteries will be the near equal winning trio with sales measured in $trillions IMHO
