Yeah. That’s what I was alluding to. Remove fuel tax altogether and replace it with a pay per kilometre style system like the one you demonstrated. Any car can be fitted with a gps tracking device that can calculate kilometres traveled and a formula applied to give an amount to be paid at the end of the tax year. That figure could then be applied to your taxable income if your employment allows it as a taxable deduction. But hey it’s just an idea. I’m sure the number crunchers are working on it.
