On road upkeep costs, most of the damage is done by heavy vehicles. 1 heavy truck is worth about 10000 cars in terms of road wear. Under the current fuel tax scheme cars subsidise trucks.

GST is the easiest to implement, but will be the hardest to get over the line.....however with covid & a nose bleed debt building may be the path forward.....20c GST here we come
