Tamaska Oil chairman, Charles Morgan, has resigned.

Morgan, the largest shareholder with one billion shares equal to near 20pc of capital, quit the board on Monday.

    The company offered no explanation.

Morgan's resignation poses questions: Why did he go? What will he do with his shares? And his options? And his notes?

Charles Morgan remains chairman of Grand Gulf Energy.

Morgan - together with GGE backer Craig Burton - has provided funding to Tamaska via convertible notes.

New TMK chairman is Perth venture capitalist, Brett Mitchell, a partner in Verona Capital and a director of Erin Resources, Citation Resources and Wildhorse Energy.

Meanwhile, a year after becoming CEO, Alexander Parks joins the TMK board.

Prior to joining Tamaska he held the positions of Chief Commercial Officer at Cue Energy Resources, CEO of Mosaic Oil, CEO of Otto Energy and Technical Director at RPS Energy.

At the close of today's trading TMK had 64 holders booked to sell 230m shares. There were no buyers.
