Shorts have slightly increased from about 2.4% to 3% recently. Not huge numbers. Certainly not enough to produce a squeeze. Some of these may be hedging to prevent further losses. I don't think it's an explanation for what has been happening with the SP recently. I personally am not concerned about this at this stage.
I guess we will find out this week.
