however are you aware that its not only the pommies who get citizenship or pr and then go back home.
this is rampant in all immigrant groups especially the arabs and chinese.
i know quite a few chinese who have done exactly that.
in the us i think citizenship is taken much more seriously as we should here. there should be a mandatory time period in which whomever is granted pr or citizenship not be allowed to return to their land of birth unless in extreme cases for at least 5 years and if they did they should then lose it and be deported. we need to get a lot tougher
we are giving it away and its being heavily abused. the flag to these people means nothing.
