One thing I have learnt over the years is that for every top and bottom you pick correctly you will pick ten incorrectly which in hindsight will cost you a hell of a lot more in lost profits than that one correct pick. It is the greed monster that drives people to do this repeatably. Unless you're a nifty trader with tight stops I would recommend against picking tops and bottoms.

Confucious says that stock making a new 34 month low when markets are trading near a 12 month high is one stock to steer well clear of!
