Sean ,you are obviously a newbie .
This kind of thing happens on most smaller stocks ,and on most days .
These guys arent selling .They are accumulating .
they will buy as much as they can up to the breakout point ,and then finnish it lower to discourage the day trading charting crowd from jumping in .
You will see what I mean when it does break out .These daytrading guys have some pretty serious cash to drop into a share that breaks out ,and it could literally rise 20% in a day .
CGG broke out again today for a nice move .
What would you do if you controlled millions of shares and had millions of dollars at your disposal ?
Its about controlling the share price in the absence of another competitor for a given share .Once another competitor comes along that all bets are off .
