LEI may not even be in a bidding war. Under 20% controls nothing without a contract or being a very influential customer/venture partner. They may of course enjoy the ride. Us minorities too.
I'd be surprised if the big mining conglomerates wouldn't want a stake the company they give big business to. It's about timing. Looks good now if they have the cash and a strong share price to arrange an equity swap.
Pure speculation of course. But these things do sometimes come to pass.
