I'm not sure what Max's motives are or what type of trader he is, but if he were a range trader and went short at the start of the down trend, he would be in considerable profit. As a trader it doesn't make sense to buy into a down trend or sell into an uptrend.

i think most of us are long term investors and our view is longer term. We generally add to our stacks during lows and hodl hoping for multiple bag reward for the considerable risk, some day in the future.
