Tax loss selling aside.... I have been trading for many years and have also observed there are always at least a handful of ' Star Performers ' out performing the market in a huge way at or around the EOFY. This usually carries f'wd into the next financial years as well.

I am also of the opinion that ta loss selling whilst talked about this time of year for obvious reasons of the ' cut off ' of 30 June for tax reporting there are many other governing factors - lets just call them end of year portfolio re-balancing's and perhaps even timing differences in various Companies reporting periods etc...etc. Much is talked about the tax loss effect , but as you can imagine there are many more reasons for selling and/ or even buying at this particular time of year. Far to many to detail in a single post. GLTAH's - I think we are on one of the ' Star Performer's ' ....IMO
