I agree on UK - with an election looming I doubt they’ll be much movement on the contract front but there will be big spending pledges as the NHS is a vote winner and employs directly or indirectly about half of UK.
ALC need to cut costs particularly headcount and salaries to keep a core of essential capability ready once the contracts are awarded post election. The problem with IT contracts is they take time to implement and are not regarded as quick wins by the politicians, voters like to see immediate effects which usually devolves to headcount or new facilities.
Leadership in ALC ie CEO and Board members should lead by example and look at taking a pay cut in line with reducing the cash burn. Tangible efforts like this based on a sensible implementation strategy moving forward would help support the SP - otherwise we are in for a slow and torturous decline.
