Shareman your FDA info states 50 + antiviral treatments being tested. How many of those have been fast track approved and how many are in phase 2 with a human safety profile?
I think you will find that almost all of them (bar Merck and Pfizer) are either in pre animal trials or phase 1animal trials . No human safety data . No chance next year of phase 2 or early approval.
FDA will want more options than Pfizer or Merck’s dubious drug. Like most drugs not everyone can take them.
Then there is also the price point. At $500 or $700 / coarse there is miles of room in the market. Pfizer may simply buy us out just to own the market and also have something for HIV and HepC as a bonus. I believe if proved effective in human trials early next year chance of buyout will be high even if low balled for only a few billion.
Lets see if this goes to phase 2 on the accelerated path . Plenty of time for us all to make money.
