Personal place of residence is a different story though for most people. For this reason inner city areas wont fall to much, especially for the likes of Brisbane. Traffic is bad and people just want to live close in to the city which is actually causing a squeeze on quality properties.
Presently there are several demographics trying to move into the inner circles. You have the professionals across all age groups. You then have all the young go getting gen Y's wanting to live the city lifestyle. But the big change now is the number of baby boomers wanting to get in close to medical, transport etc, so they are selling up the large family homes out wide to move into smaller city blocks/houses. So much larger number of people chasing a limited number of quality homes.
