I last posted a chart comparing MFD's total enterprise value to EBITDA multiple against industry peers Think Childcare (ASX:TNK) and G8 Education (ASX:G8) on 4 February 2019. At that time, whilst MFD lingered around the 7x mark (with a price at posting of $1.00), TNK (10.48x) and G8 (11.47x) were showing signs of recovery from late 2018 woes.
Since 4 February, MFD have paid a c. $0.09 dividend (better than its peers and upward of 10% ROI if you bought in at sub-$1.00 levels) and fallen from $1.00 to $0.86 (sub-7x levels), whilst both TNK (up to 11.66x) and G8 (up to 12.13x) have continued to strengthen. Market confidence has well and truly returned to the bigger players in the CC sector and yet MFD is just getting cheaper. It beggars belief that this stock is south of $1.50, let alone $1.00. With fundamentals as strong as Mayfield have, an astounding ROI opportunity should the dividend hold up next year and industry peers suggesting it is well and truly undervalued, is this one of the cheapest stocks on ASX?
Consolidate EBITDA and I can't see anyway forward but up for MFD. DYOR.
