There is a lot of speculation going around about George Rogers and his exit from the board but if one loooks at this logically. As a former Managing Director, George held or possibly still holds round 11,77,330 shares either directly or indirectly.
Getting removed from the board doesn’t mean you lose belief in the project. If anything, you continue to hold for a better return.
The idea that he’d 'throw the baby out with the bathwater' just because of a boardroom reshuffle doesn’t stack up.
People are spinning narrative probably to create fear and pick up cheaper shares.
At the end of the day, this looks more like a case of classic fearmongering and profit-taking than anything fundamentally wrong with the company.
Let’s not forget Datt Capital now holds close to 20% of the company and has invested significant capital last but not least there’s also the Newmont JV in play. That kind of backing doesn't happen by accident.
At the end of the day, only you can decide where you’ll get the best bang for your buck or whether it’s time to buckle out.
