Chatree is in northern Thailand -which has great mining laws and still a lot of great geology. I am looking for properties there myself.
I don't want to put a dampener on LAF - I hope common sense prevails and the project gets up -as I love the Filipino people and they desperately need orderly, sustainable mining development to boost their economy. There has been so much mis-information from the US and Australian eco-nuts stirring up local people and uneducated tribal people -even telling them that exploration drilling uses cyanide and that sort of rubbish. Because of the way the political system works these people wield considerable power in the hands of the ratbag greenies.
There is really only one gold project in the Philippines now -the Victoria mine of Lepanto in Luzon -which is a great little mine producing about 130,000 ozs a year.What a pity with such potential - back in the 70's there were lots of mines.
