my mining friends around Leinster also informing me that Spartan and Goldfields have both in the past seen remarkably fine high grade gold in drilling around their mines … so this Thyacine occurrence may not be as unique regionally .. as I had first thought.
The very fine gold though does explain why the old boys walking across MHK ground chose not to work it 130 years ago … they simply couldn’t see it in their pans when sampling quartz outcrops
