The data regarding volume of shares shorted doesn't come close to the volume traded on the day.
Shortman shares
7 April = 55,113,260 shares
8 April = 41,707,203 shares
Difference 1 day = 13,406,057 shares
Commsec shares
7 April = 1,865,413 shares
8 April = 3,650,171 shares
Difference 1 day = 1,784,758 shares
Missing shares = 11,621,299
I can only assume the volume Shortman records is a mix of CFD so not actually traded on the ASX. Misleading if one thought the volume traded according to Shortman was actual.
