Agree makattack, consolidating away. I find it fascinating how psychology can be used to explain the behaviour too.
I've found myself selling in similar circumstances in the past as I threw out my understanding of the companies fundamentals and just fell from the tree with the other apples when it was shaken. Usually regretting the stupidity of my emotive actions when the share price crawled it's way back to well above previous highs.
