yep you are spot on Strauss.. I've been trying to find the link to wear i got my figures from.. But definitely agree that daily rig costs are $400K a day and if you include the cost of seismic etc.. then $50M+ is more likely the total spend.. massive committment by Shell..
News of Shell spudding will generate interest in WHN- look at the buying volume last week in anticiaption of the spudding..
definitely gains to be made here and agree that market is sometimes 'asleep' to these opportunities, but eventually wakes up.. but I guess that is the best time to buy, when everyone else is asleep.
