I expect if gold keeps creeping upwards we'll see an upwards breakout. Also the closer it gets to the nose of the triangle the weaker the signal will be. A big market wide rally and a rise in gold would point to a breakout.

Of concern is the high cash cost and where the money will come from to develop Dipidio if the NZ operations are starting to lose their attractiveness. If we can't make money in this environment what will happen when real interest rates rise and the price of gold starts to drift back to the 200 day MA?

I think once we have Dipidio up and running and the overall cash cost drops we'll be in a better position so it's probably a good time to buy now, we'll still be a winner over the longer term.
