Aussie banks had a major regulatory overhaul since the GFC to minimise exactly what is happening in the US, hopefully they have done enough. I'm in the camp that the gold price will go lower and I hope to pick up some producers at Sept 22 prices but can always adjust. And the HUI is just over a third of its high of 2011 so lots of room to move higher once Gold bottoms (assuming it hasn't already)
