More than just a spike I reckon. I see last Thursdays bar as a shakeout bar to exhaust supply, Fridays as a test bar to check for supply at lower price levels, then higher lows and higher highs with increasing volume since then. Looks like accumulation to me.
The 2 hour chart makes it look more dramatic.
