Gold Fields are major share holders of MAG so when AGC was established they got in-specie distribution at IPO because they held MAG.
Gold Fields were on MAG's register from the initial tenement deal that MAG did for their tenements.
Gold Fields are still major holders of MAG and will likely just let AGC play out. They aren't usually traded shares. They play the long game.
