I am pretty quick to sell stuff that I see red flags over but still take my share of losses. Having said that I like what I am seeing at AL3 - it is no DRO.

To start with directors have big holdings and don't pay themselves too much. They will get their big reward when the share price delivers and will experience what ordinary shareholders experience. All the incentives are in the right places.

As for the company itself. It has good growth which, of course is critical, but it has another thing that most people overlook that is equally important. That is a lack of competition, which means as long as the market grows, AL3 should grow with it and be able to main its margins at the same time. Competition was something that DRO shareholders ignored - they're in a hot market with lots of competitors and some of those companies will fall by the wayside. I think DRO will be one of them - its sales have not grown this year in a favourable market.

When I mentioned some of the risks on DRO, people really got nasty on the forum, and still go after me to this day. They claim I was constantly down ramping the stock - that was another indication to me to be wary of DRO - people had fallen in love with it. As I have mentioned before on HC, what I most try to avoid is getting wiped out - this is different to most posters who are looking for the massive wins (my theory is I win when I don't lose). I don't see too many downsides with AL3 and that suggests that it might be worth a bet.
