EL,
No offence intended but you say things without any real thought process.
You do understand that ‘creeping' acquisitions of no more than 3% voting power in a six month period.
So if we work from your ‘hypothetical theory’ that IGO does decide to ‘creep’ to acquire additional shares in Panoramic then it would take years to build up to the levels you suggest.
Now why would IGO play a messy game (which is not guaranteed to yield any real outcome) by consuming years to acquire additional shares while Panoramic’s ores are being depleted at the tune of about $200m a year.
Is it now better for IGO to assume that revenue/ profit under their books as soon as possible then worry about acquiring more shares through a messy drawn out process? IGO has $80m invested in Panoramic and this is dead money (in my view) if one cannot maximise returns by a straight forward Scheme of Offer.
Victor appears to have a good relationship with Peter and so if this was to be done, it may be done on reasonable terms without the need to go hostile.
You honestly need to broaden your thought process beyond retail thinking.
