WOW, just looked into this and certainly a really interesting pattern - Thanks for sharing.
This pattern appears to have played out from June to September 2020 (sideways before the new run).
Same with May to July 2017 (Sideways before the new bull run).
Again from Jan to June 2016, etc.
So this pattern goes then back to my earlier comment today about the sideway basing movement with volume contracting (similar to the VCP)?
