I feel it will happen fast than that.
The trials for current mRNA vaccines for COVID happened a lot quicker than years.
Until we have global vaccine coverage that is equally distrubted to 100% of all populations there will be an endless stream of new varients. Just like there currently is for Flu type viruses.
Therefore there will for COVID there will be yearly vaccines to be manufactured.
Then there is the opportunity to apply the mRNA technology to target other diseases in humans and in animals.
The long term future is bright for IDT.
