I had a similar experience with a poster who was antagonistic , I decided to just state I would not also resort to personal attacks and would no longer communicate with the poster , which I did , poster kept posting personal attacks for about 3 days with no response from me , other posters started finding that bemusing as the poster ended up appearing to be a dick and finally quit.
