It’s an old ABC story from May this year saying Golding was obliged to lay off workers at Whyalla

… Possibly relevant to ‘now’ is this note in the report;

… “Some workers who retain their job with Golding could still face hardship if the hematite mines transition from a 24-hour operation to an eight-hour day shift from August 1, as proposed in documents leaked to the ABC…”​
