snuff, if the west has the advantage of innovation, and I'm not sure that it is the case anymore, there is no reason why Asia cannot take the lead there. History tells us that at various times different civilisations, both in Asia and the Middle East have led the world at various times with their level of learning and enterprise. In fact I believe that the west is increasingly getting bogged down by the law of diminishing returns as our attempts to advance further is causing us to drown in a sea of rules and regulations and other endeavours that are more concerned with superficial issues rather than the basics. We expend an awful lot of effort trying to advance an often immeasurable degree. We are trying to get the shading of the pixels right whilst Asia are busily sketching the outlines for a whole new picture.
