It's funny you should ask that, because after finishing that post (and posts for some other stocks) yesterday, I turned off my computer and continued reading Bulkowski's Getting Started in Chart Patterns (2nd edition).
I checked the section on ascending broadening wedges, which mentioned that "Neither trend line should be horizontal" (page 87 of 256).
So with that in mind, I did a comparison against that example on The Pattern Site:
That visual example isn't quite sharp enough, so I reproduced it on TradingView. It turns out that his lower trendline doesn't quite connect his daily candlestick lows - so his red trendline is actually a fraction flatter than the way he has drawn it. Using proper touches (like I did with A2M), it shows that his lower trendline has an angle of 2 degrees:
When comparing that against my A2M example, it has an angle of 3 degrees:
Admittedly, neither trendline is that steep - especially when zoomed out. Maybe it's splitting hairs, but when comparing apples with apples, the weekly lower trendline (for A2M) is steeper than Bulkowski's visual example...by 1 degree![]()
